Hello!

I want to use XIO2001 in my project and i have some questions about external eeprom.

I quote: "The XIO2001 can work without having an external eeprom. The external eeprom is used to set some special features of the bridge but they can be set as well from the BIOS".

What does it mean?

1. The XIO2001 will have ONLY basic functionality without the external eeprom?

    And XIO2001 will have some special features ONLY then an external eeprom is installed? Because, special features can not be configured from standart commercial motherboard BIOS?

3.  Special features can be configured from standart commercial motherboard BIOS?

4.  Special features can be configured from special BIOS?

 I can not find a clear answer, please help.
