TCAN1465-Q1: Please review the schematic

Part Number: TCAN1465-Q1

Tool/software:

Dear TI experts,

My customer drew their schematic using TCAN1465-Q1. Could you review this schematic?

Best regards,

Chase

  • Chase,

The schematic looks good, a few points of feedback:

    • If the WAKE function is not being used, it can be directly tied to VSUP. R45 is not necessary.
    • RXD and SDO do not need a pull-up. Having this there won't pose any problems, and will establish a known state at start-up, but I just wanted to note that both pins have internal structures which correctly set the state upon start-up as well.
    • We typically recommend a common-mode choke on the CAN bus to help with high-frequency emissions and immunity. It is not required for proper function, but it does help in the event that the application is a noisy environment.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Regards,

    Eric Hackett
