Hi Brian,

One more question.

The TUSB7340I is connected to PCIe x1 Gen2, and then connects to 4 USB3 GEN1 ports. I would like to confirm the following:

When all 4 USB 3 ports are used simultaneously, can each actually achieve a speed of 5Gbps, or will there be any performance degradation or speed limitations?
Does the TUSB7340I automatically adjust or have any mechanisms to handle such situations?

Hi Jeff:

USB3.1 speed is 5Gbps, but USB3 is 8b/10b encoding so the actual speed is 4Gbps. all 4 downstream ports will share 4Gbps bandwidth , plus other payloads, the actual throughput for each port should be less than 1Gbps.
