TCAN1145-Q1: SW mode and High-Low level wake up mode

Part Number: TCAN1145-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCAN1043,

Tool/software:

Hi Expert,

TCAN1145-Q1 support selective wake up, whether it also support High-Low level wake up in can bus( like TCAN1043)?

If so, can you give some guidance to configure high-low level wake up? Customer aims to make a design which is compatible for two wake up mode.

  • Beida,

Yes, the device also supports standard CAN bus wake-up. There is no configuration needed for this, the device automatically responds to CAN bus wake-up.

  • Thanks, Eric.

For the switch between SW mode and standard CAN bus wake-up, can achieve it only by programming registers? Could you share a file guidance to help me understand and operate it?

  • Hi Beida,

By default the device is configured for standard CAN wake up pattern (WUP) detection so no further configuration is required to function in his mode. If selective wake is needed, the feature will first need to be set up by configuring the relevant registers. An outline of this process and list of related registers is available in the last paragraph of datasheet Section 10.4.5.2. Once this has been properly configured, the selective wake can be toggled on or off using the SW_EN bit in the mode control register.
