I don't know what you're specifically asking. The RS232 devices usually are used with UART as the software protocol but technically you could use it for something else as long as the signal is uni-directional and the datarate is supported by the device.

But i am more interested to understand the the failure % and also using the USB Typr A for input and output , as there is 16% failure when we use usb type A for input/output .
If you could put some knowledge on this .will be happy
