TCAN1043A-Q1: Vio resistor divider for TCAN1043A-Q1

Part Number: TCAN1043A-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCAN1044-Q1,

Tool/software:

Hello Team,

I'd like to ask if customer can use resistor voltage divider for Vio to make 3.3V from 5V Vcc. Found below e2e thread about similar topic with TCAN1044-Q1.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/1135733/tcan1044-q1-vio-with-resistor-voltage-divider

If it is possible even for TCAN1043A-Q1, what range of resistor value can be used?  Please advise. Thank you.

  • Hi Kenneth,

Yes, this is also possible for TCAN1043A-Q1. As Eric mentions, a voltage divider for the VIO supply is possible assuming the VCC level is stable and the VIO pin also receives a stable voltage level. There is no specific resistor range.

    Best,

    Ethan
