DS90UB964-Q1EVM: Regarding Common mode choke and FPD link input circuit

Tool/software:

We got two questions regarding the EVM circuit.

1. the purpose of R78 and C84 of the EVM cirucit which i extracted below . In the datasheet, it is asking input 50 ohm termination resister, is the circuit indicated in red box below equivalent to 50 ohm termination resistance?

2. if we would like to add common mode choke, do we need to cut the trace indicated by blue cross lines below ?

Hi Pytsai,

this RRC combination was calculated/simulated to emulate the connectors 50ohm matching and its capacitive part. Also, this capacitor helps in EMI reduction and to meet the signal integrity requirements.
However, this is just based on simulation/calculation and not a requirement that customers must fulfill.

2. Is it recommended to place this choke close to the TI964 chip or close to the camera connector?
