TPD3S014-Q1: Spice Model seems wrong

Part Number: TPD3S014-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD3S014,

Tool/software:

I'm Creating a Spice model with the TPD3S014_TRANS device. When I pulse it on/off is seems to not have the Reverse Current Blocking that is featured in the datasheet for the TPD3S014-Q1.

  • Hi Kevin,

Thank you for the feedback. I'll relay this answer to the designer.

Do you get the spice model from the product page? Could you provide a picture showing your simulation circuit and the reverse current when device is off?

    Best Regards,

    Ke Wang

  • Hi Ke,

I pulled the Spice model right from the "Pspice for TI" library. I have a basic SCH I can show with the input being turned on/off and the output capacitor being drained back out through the device.

    With the diode D2 in:

    without D2 in:

Not the positive current spike (blue) of the current going back into the device after being turned off.

    Kind Regards,
    Kevin

  • Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the prompt feedback. I'll relay all the information to the designer.
