Using SN65LVDS2 as a comparator for generating delays

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65LVDS2, SN65LVDS4, SN65LVDS349

Hi, I'm thinking about using SN65LVDS2 as a comparator for generating 50-100ns delays instead of using 74HC logic.

I'm not sure how to translate the positive/negative going thresholds into offset and hysteresis though:

it could be interpreted as 200mV hysteresis and 0 offset but I've measured one and it has about 80mV hysteresis and 25mV offset.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Alex

  • Alex,

I think the 200mw is peak to peak value while the measurement may be just peak value.  If this is the case, then the 80mv threshold and 25 mv offset may be correct.

Other devices to consider are SN65LVDS4 and SN65LVDS349.

    Thanks,
