Hi team,

Our customer is considering TCAN1465-Q1 and they want to estimate its max current consumption in sleep mode. Could you check if below calculation/behavior is correct?

In Sleep mode (LP Receiver: On): max 35uA+40uA = 75uA
- After receiving WUP, device went to WUF identification, and max 35uA + 550uA = 585uA
- When WUF matches, device moves to normal mode

Thanks for your response.

One more question, even when this IC is in Sleep Mode and no Bus bias, is it still possible that a additional 550uA current could be drew when a Bus bias of 2.5V at other nodes is connected?

I would like to understand if bus bias at other nodes could impact on the current consumption at this IC.

Muwei,

No, this consumptions is based on the internal CAN bus driver being enabled and biasing its own CAN bus, and enabling the digital core to do so.
