Hello team,

can you guarantee that the SN65LVPE501 works for SATA as well, please?
As it supports PCIe Gen II up to 5Gbps it should be possible to use it for a 3Gbps SATA link?

    Hans,

    We have a family of SATA redrivers (choose SATA as the "Protocol" parameter in the selection table) that we recommend for SATA applications. 

    The electrical signalling and out-of-band controls are different between SATA and PCIe, so no the LVPE501 would not be recommended for SATA applications.
