SN65DSI86: Question about clock

Part Number: SN65DSI86

Tool/software:

Hi team,

If we use DACP/N pin as the clock source, we should tie REFCLK to ground, Anything else? like I2C register should be set?

Is there any concern if we use DACP/N as the source?

Could you explain more if we use DACP to instead of REFCLK?

Thanks,

Leo

Please see this E2E thread for the DSI86 programming spreadsheet. You can use this spreadsheet to generate the DSI86 register programming value depends on whether the DSI CLK or REF CLK is used.

If REFCLK is not used, then it is recommended to pull it to GND.

It is recommended to use REFCLK instead the DSI CLK as the DSI CLK tends to have more jitter than the REFCLK.

    Thanks

    David
