Hello,

We are using multiple TMAG5173-Q1 and a single TCAL9539-Q1 IC on the same I2C bus in our project. If we start the measurement simultaneously on all sensors using the General Call Write, would this cause any operational issues with the TCAL9539, which is also connected to this bus?

I was redirected from the sensor forum to the interface forum to check whether the TCAL9539-Q1 is affected by I2C General Write. I am adding my previous question as a related inquiry.

Additionally, I have attached the related section from the datasheet of TCAL9539-Q1.

The second byte of a General Call write defines the actual command; 06h is a software reset. The TCAL9539-Q1 will ignore a general call with any other second byte. The conversion trigger uses a different value.

Hi Egemen,

As long as the conversion bit is a "1" I don't see an issue with the general call across the TMAG and TCAL device.

Is there a case where conversion trigger is a "0"?
