TUSB211A: Status of DP DN pin when device is powered off

Part Number: TUSB211A

Tool/software:

When device has no power, what is the status of DP / DN pins on both sides ?

Is it on high z ?

I see one comment in datasheet where it says, DP/DN has continuity when RST is low. But what about when power in not there. Are those lines still continues ?

Thanks

  • Hi Atharva,

The TUSB211A does not actually carry the DP/DN signals through the device, it just monitors the lines as the USB2 data moves through them by connecting the lines to the DP/DM pins. Thus, when the redriver is in RSTN or the redriver is not powered, the DP/DN pins should not affect the USB2 signal.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
