Tool/software:

Hi,

We have designed deserializer and serializer board using TDES960RTDT (Deserializer) and TSER953 (Serializer)
My test case is to validate the link margin for that.

I have using the DS90UB960-Q1EVM.
In the Analog launch Pad GUI,

1)The default device DS90UB960 is listed in the GUI is  .

2) I removed that default part and added the part number:TDES960RTDT(for link margin).    .

3) Now I by-passed the on board deserializer part DS90UB960-Q1 from the EVM and made the I2C connection from EVM's MCU (MSP430F5529IPN) to TDES960RTDT's  I2C (my board) and established the link margin for TDES960RTDT and TSER953.

4) After completing the test I have made it to default setting in the Deserilaizer EVM. now i interfaced my serializer TSER953 board to the deserializer DS90UB960-Q1 EVM. The connection was established but in the GUI partner information the device gets detected as DS90UB953 not the TSER953 which I have connected. why the device is not get detected as TSER953?

5) After observing this behavior now I bypassed the on board  EVM's Deserilaizer  and connected my deserializer board (TDES960RTDT ) and established the link margin but in the GUI the connected chipsets are  DS90UB960 and  DS90UB953 not the TDES960RTDT and TSER953.why it is happening? could you please help us to understand this behavior?
