TPD2EUSB30A: TPD2EUSB30A used to protect I2C line was damaged when hot-plugged.

Part Number: TPD2EUSB30A

Tool/software:

Dear Specialists,

My customer is evaluating TPD2EUSB30A and encountering the issue.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

---

The device used to protect I2C was damaged when hot-plugged.

Could you please let me know the reason.

Even if overstress occurs during hot plugging, it is released to the outside through the internal diode of the TPD2EUSB30A, so I thought it would not break.

Is my understanding wrong?

I appreciate your great help in advance.
