Hi all,

I would like to ask you NC pin.

TL16C752C Dual UART With 64-Byte FIFO datasheet (Rev. C)

The datasheet says' 'No internal connection'' about NC pin. It is necessary that NC pin is open?

I couldn't understand from the data sheet.

I am considering TL16C752C for replacement from other device. The voltage is applied to this pin if the board pattern is not changed.

    Hi Ryusuke,

    I've gone into the mount bond diagram for the PFB package of this device.

    From what I can see, the pins that say NC are not connected to the die, its only connection is to the leadframe. So applying voltage on the NC pins won't affect the operation of the device. (I'm saying it's okay to put voltage on those pins, nothing will happen).
