  • Hi, McKenzie

    Thank you for support.

I have an additional question regarding the contents of the USB Interface (app note) provided in the link above.

    Q1) For 10Gbps, TPD4E02B04 (4CH) x 1ea was used for Tx, Rx, but is there a special reason for using TPD1E01B04 (1CH) x 4ea for 20Gbps?

Q2) Looking at Table 6-1, TPD4E02B04 is recommended for D+, D-, TX/RX for 10-Gbps per lane. Is it applicable only for 10Gbps or less??

    Please check. Thank you.

  • Hi Grady,

To answer your first question, we didn't want to show the same option for multiple USB speeds. This way it shows someone an option with a 1 4-channel device and an option with 4 1-channel devices.

TPD4E02B04 can support up to 20Gbps but that is the maximum it can support. I believe the 1- Gbps per lane is listed because USB 3.2 2x2 has 2 lanes with each being 10Gbps.

    Best,

    McKenzie
