TPD1E01B04: Footprint file

Part Number: TPD1E01B04

Tool/software:

Hi,

The downloaded file does not seem to contain the Dra-related files. We are using Allegro Design Authoring software. Could you please check the image below to see if there are any selection errors, or could you directly provide the Dra file? Thank you.

  • Hi Jeff,

Did you follow this link, and it didn't work? If that didn't work, then let me know and I can see what I can do to get you the .dra files.

    Best,

    McKenzie

  • Hi McKenzie,

This link seems only teach for how to import the symbol file.

Would you please share .dra file to us.

Or do you know which one is correct? We should follow what to create footprint?

    Pin pad actual dimensions:
    Length: 0.13 - 0.23
    Width: 0.2 - 0.3

    Example Board Layout:
    Length: 0.28
    Width: 0.25

  • Hi Jeff,

Are you wanting the DPY or DPL package? It looks like in your original message you mentioned DPY, but the most recent shows the package drawings for DPL.

I am not sure how to get the .dra file since we use Altium, but the dimensions we use for the DPY footprint are below. The Altium library device is also attached.

  • Hi McKenzie,

Sorry, should be DPLR. Would you please also provide DPL package size to us?

    Thanks!

    Jeff

  • Hi Jeff,

    Please see DPL sizing below.

  • Hi McKenzie,

I would like to confirm a few details with you. Please kindly reply, thank you.

    1. Is it correct that PAD 1 has a length (blue) of 0.18 mm and a width (bright green) of 0.25 mm, while PAD 2 has a length of 0.19 mm and a width of 0.25 mm? (The lengths of the two pads are slightly inconsistent.)
    2. What is the distance between the two PADs (orange line)? The datasheet shows inconsistent markings on two pages.

    Thanks!

    Jeff

  • Hi Jeff,

    1. Yes, it is correct that one pad is slightly shorter than the other. I am not sure the reasoning of this but looks to be the case for devices in the DPL package.

    2. The distance between the two pads is 0.2mm.

    McKenzie

  • Hi McKenzie,

Thank you for your patience in responding. We will create the footprint based on the suggestions in this email. However, the suggested footprint dimensions are almost entirely inconsistent with those in the datasheet. Could you please confirm whether the datasheet will be updated accordingly? If there is an update, kindly provide the latest version of the datasheet. Thank you.

    Jeff

  • Hi Jeff,

So when looking at the datasheet packaging information, we take the middle number. For example, the pad shows 0.13/0.23, we will take what the median number is which is 0.18. The 0.13/0.23 are lower and upper bounds to include some margin if there is a slight difference between manufacturing sites for the package size.
