Hi TI support,

Is there a internal loopback function of TRS3253E-EP MIL graded RS232 transceiver? Or is there a way to do an external loopback test?

There is no internal loopback. For an external loopback, you have to connect the output to the input yourself.

Hi Ena,

Clemens is correct. Only way to perform a loop back would be external. Easiest way if you have the pins go out to a DB9 connector you can use a dedicated loopback plug.
