DP83TG720EVM-MC: what is the Configuration for LED_0, LED_1

Part Number: DP83TG720EVM-MC

Tool/software:

hi ,

I do not  understand  the   Connection  for  LED0  and  LED1 of the  EVM   What  modes  for  dp83867  LED0 and LED1?

  • Hi,

LED01 is pulled high by R94 so the pin is configured as an active low output. Meaning that when there is a link-up the LED01 pin is equal to GND.

LED11 is pulled low because it is separated from Vreg by the two diodes so it is configured as active high. When there is 1G bit data being transmitted LED11 is high and overcomes the forward voltage of the green diode to turn it on. When the signal is 100Mbit, LED11 is low and Vreg offers the voltage to enable the orange diode.

    Best regards,

    Nick

  • Hi ,

I don't thik so, both LED01and LED11  are configured  as  an  active high,    100BASE-T link  established: LED01  high    LED11 low , enable the orange  LED,    1000BASE-T link  established: LED01  low    LED11 high, enable the green   LED。 I read the  Register  0x0018  and  0x0019  ,they are configured  0x6156  and  0x0044.

but   I have another  question,  LED01 is configured  mode 3  and  LED11 is configured  mode 1?

  • Hi,

LED0 and LED1 are active high, LED2 is active low, as you have noticed in register 0x0018,

LED01 is configured  mode 3  and  LED11 is configured  mode 1

    This is correct.

    Thanks,

    David
