THVD8000: MODE Resistor

Part Number: THVD8000

Tool/software:

Hi experts,

May I know what's the reason we recommend to use 2Mohm for MODE? What would be acceptable range or any concern what if changing to other value?

Thanks,

Allan

  • Allan,

We don't recommend you use a 2M resistor on the mode pin. The datasheet states there is a 2M ohm resistor on the mode pin (internal to the device).

You should use a value much smaller than 2M to correctly bias the pin. The smaller the value, the stronger the biasing but the more leakage there will be. I would probably say 10k would be fine.
