Tool/software:

There is a need to transphere dual DSI signals from one device to another.

Devices are ~50cm apart.

We are looking at V3Link interface, because it's designed to have large distances, has less signals, compared to MIPI.

One option is to use TSER4905.

There are no V3Link to DSI deserializers (couldn't find such device), but it's not a problem if deserializers from TI can be used with different output video interface, for instance:

* MIPI CSI
* MIPI DSI
* FPD-Link
* OpenLDI

Could you please confirm, that such architecture would work.

Hi Rinalds,

The V^3 link portfolio only supports eDP/DP output on the deserializers currently. The best option for your system needs would be to use FPD-Link parts instead which can meet your requirements.

The DS90UB941AS-Q1 can support dual DSI input and split the video to different deserializers. See "Splitter Mode Operations with DS90Ux941AS-Q1" app note in addition.

The DS90UB948-Q1 can support input from the UB941AS and output OLDI video.

Both the UB941AS and the UB948 will support the 854*1920 @ 60Hz resolution.

We want to test the mentioned OLDI output and also DS90UB940-Q1 (MIPI-CSI output), would it work?

Hi Rinalds,

The UB941AS can operate in splitter mode. This means that the UB941AS can output to both a UB940 and a UB948.

Will the DSI source be sending the same video stream on each DSI port?
