Part Number: TUSB7340

Tool/software:

We are planning to design in TUSB7340 bridge to extend USB port slot number.

Some questions need to be clarified.

1. Where can I find demo board ordering page?

2. Is TUSB7340 belong NRND part?

3. From demo board schematics, there is a 1Kb EEPROM.

What parameter should be stored in it?

Is it need to pre-program before SMT production or it could be store setting in production test?

4. If we have a 4-port USB hub(2.0/3.0) IC connect to TUSB7340, the consumption could reach as low as idle 79mW by SW setting?

5. Data sheet lack of USB2.0*1 consumption, do you have entire consumption data?

we don't have EVM for online order now, but it will be available soon in next few months

It's no NRND now;

no external EEPROM needed unless customer plan to change configuration.

Once in idle, power should be as low as 79mW.

In our application, we have a USB20.0/3.0 hub connected to one of the bridge port.

But this hub did not connect any devices at DFP. Does it cause bridge consume as high as one USB3.0 attached 820.5mW?

At this configuration, can we set this bridge to sleep mode (Keep wakeup from USB device capability) by PCIe interface?

How to implement this setting, does TI have document or sample code to help us ?

Hi Phil:

C6.C2 and C3 are all DFP and nothing connected? what is 820.5mW for?

Hi Brian,

Yes, all of the USB port(C2/C3/C6/A1/A2) are DFP and no connection.

820.5mW is coming from TUSB7340 data sheet's consumption table. One USB3.0 device connected.
