DS90UB933-Q1: Check Schemic

Part Number: DS90UB933-Q1

Tool/software:

1.Is there a problem with the current peripheral circuit
2.We need the WP pin to remain high after power on. Can we configure the 0X0D register to achieve this. At present, during testing, it has been found that the initial power on will be high, but it will be pulled down and then pulled up again

  • Hi,

Thanks for your question. If it's desired to set WP high in this case GPIO1 would need to be either set high locally or via remote GPIO control. Please see below register:

Regarding the schematic overall, the AC coupling capacitors at the DOUT pins are incorrect here.

For the mode, do you know which setting is targeted here?

    Best,

    Thomas

  • The current function we want to achieve is to connect WP externally to the pins of this serdes. We only need to operate to pull it down during Eepro burning, and it will remain high at any other time. The current question we want to confirm is: 1. Can the current situation of connecting to GPO1 port be achieved, where the pin is pulled high when the chip is powered on? If possible, please provide the configuration of the registers.
    2. If GPO1 is not working, is there a recommended interface to implement this function and provide the configuration of the registers.

Also, we need to confirm the waveform of GPO1, which we measured. The 0X0D of this register is configured to the (0X05) high impedance state, but it's a bit strange. The external circuit has a pull-up, so why can there still be high and low levels, and there are two more times? Please also confirm this.

  • Hi Sam,

With regards to the waveform, do you know which I2C reads / writes are being done to the UB933? The default configuration for the GPO is output enabled with remote control from the downstream serializer, this could be resulting in the GPO being pulled low before it's set to tri-state mode.

    Best,

    Thomas
