Tool/software:
Hi,
We are currently using the TUSB9261 as a USB-SATA bridge in a system that connects a USB 2.0 host to a Blu-ray drive.
We are planning to replace the current Blu-ray drive (SATA 1.1a compatible) with a new model that supports SATA 3.0. As a result, we expect the negotiated SATA link speed to increase from 1.5Gbps (Gen1) to 3Gbps (Gen2).
However, since the USB host supports only USB 2.0, the actual data rate is limited to 480Mbps, and there is no advantage to increasing the SATA speed.
Therefore, we would like to limit the SATA link speed to 1.5Gbps (SATA Gen1) on the TUSB9261 side.
Is it possible to configure the TUSB9261 to limit the SATA speed via firmware settings stored in the SPI Flash?
If so, we would greatly appreciate it if you could provide details on how to configure this, such as specific parameters (e.g., in the config.ini file) or relevant documentation.
Best regards,
