Hi
If we want to drive a 4 chan 2K/4K display with LVDS I/F display.
There should be two SN65DSI84 with 2 chan mipi dsi input, is that correct?
Or TI has a 4 chan LVDS bridge IC?

Hi PYTsai,
This FAQ has a guide on resolution for the SN65DSI8x devices: https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/945185/faq-sn65dsi84-sn65dsi83-sn65dsi84-and-sn65dsi85-resolution-guide
The MIPI DSI to LVDS chips are the following:
The DSI84 and DSI85 have dual link LVDS output (each single link has 4 LVDS data lanes and one clock lane). So there are no four channel LVDS components for these DSI to LVDS bridge chips.
For your system, could you share the following:
1. MIPI DSI output: how many DSI ports, and lanes from the transmitter?
2. LVDS receiver: how many LVDS ports, and lanes on the receiver?
3. Video bandwidth: what is the video full resolution? Is it 2K or 4K? Please share: Horizontal TOTAL x Vertical TOTAL x frames per second
- we need the full resolution to check whether these parts will support it
Best regards,
Ikram
