We are currently developing a system that supports 12−bit parallel cameras using the DS90UB913A serializer.

According to the datasheet, the DS90UB913A accepts 10- or 12-bit parallel input and serializes the data.

It also states compatibility with deserializers that output MIPI CSI-2, such as the DS90UB960. Our application processor (AP) only supports MIPI CSI-2 input.

Therefore, we would like to confirm whether the following configuration is supported and works as expected:

Parallel input to DS90UB913A → FPD-Link III → Deserializer (e.g., DS90UB960-Q1 or DS90UB954-Q1) → MIPI CSI-2 output to the AP.

Could you please confirm if this configuration is valid and operational?

    Hello Spshin,

    Yes, your use case is valid, and you can use the SER as explained. However, if this is a new development, I would recommend using the DS90UB933-Q1 instead of the DS90UB913A-Q1, since the UB933 is newer and has enhanced functionality. Both devices are pin compatible though.

    I would linke to buy DS90UB960-Q1EVM.

    Could you please the EVM also compatable with UB913.

    And we have to use UB913 becuase the camera is already developed usging UB913
