DS250DF230EVM: USBANY Interface Adapter and SigCon Architest to test DS250DF230 board

Part Number: DS250DF230EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS250DF230, USB2ANY

Tool/software:

Hi TI

I would lik to design a board with DS250DF230, it seems that I have to use "USBANY Interface Adapter" connected between my PC and my board if I use SigCon Architest for testing.

Is it possible to use an common "USB to I2C' device and SigCon Architest to test my board?

  • Hi Jerry,

Yes, it is correct that you need to use a USB2ANY adapter in order to use SigCon Architect.  You can use a generic USB to I2C device, but then you will be unable to use SigCon Architect.

You can also implement an onboard USB2ANY for testing (see our EVM) and flash it using USB2ANY Explorer Software.  However, please keep in mind that USB2ANY is designed as just an evaluation tool.

    Thanks,

    Drew
