DS90UB960-Q1: DS90UB960's IDX and MODE pins

Part Number: DS90UB960-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi TI experts ,

I have a question about the sampling of the DS90UB960's IDX and MODE pins.

  1. I couldn't find in the datasheet when the IDX and MODE pins are sampled. Is it sampled on the rising edge of PDB?
  2. I saw a timing requirement that I'm a bit confused about. This requirement specifies a minimum time. Does this mean we need to have the IDX and MODE voltages ready after 2ms?

Best Regards.

  • Hi Jian,

Thanks for your question. You are correct that the mode and IDX pins are sampled on the rising edge of the PDB pin. After the rising edge of PDB, there should be a wait of 2ms before accessing the deserializer via I2C.

Please let me know if there are any additional questions here.

    Best,

    Thomas
