Due to DS90UB681 FPD Link chipset unavailability. 

Can you suggest similar chipset that support DS90UB681 with deserializer compatibility ? DS90UB941AS-Q1 suitable or not ? SW side drive support available ?

    Can you elaborate on the application?

    The following serializers can be used to support DS90UB681 functionality:

    • DS90UB941AS-Q1
    • DS90UB981-Q1

    The corresponding deserializer will depend on your video output. Can you specify what output video protocol you require?

    We have SW driver support for our products using ALP with a script generation tool and GUI support.

    Please download both ALP and ALP-Profile-Update from the site  - https://www.ti.com/tool/ALP

    Additionally, here is the driver for the 98x family:

    Dear Ragav,

    I have verified the current configuration of the serializer and deserializer, and the system is driving a Full HD display using the DSI interface over an FPD-Link.

    • Serializer: DS90UB681

    • Deserializer: DS90UB688RUR

    Could you please confirm alternative part (DS90UB981RTDTQ1) whether this configuration is suitable for our application and deserializer ?

    Hi Vishal,

    If the video application is supported with x688, then using the x988 will be a sufficient replacement for the system.

    Just to confirm, can you clarify your video resolution settings?

    Required Video output is Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels display using the DSI interface. 

    Can you suggest Serializer full part number compatible with deserializer: DS90UB688RUR ?

    Assuming 24-bit color resolution and 60Hz refresh rate - yes, DS90UB688RUR is compatible with application
