DS90UB971-Q1: Power Consumption Inquiry

Hi Team,

Hope you're doing well.

We're evaluating the power consumption of the 971. From the datasheet info, the total maximum power rating will be around 400mW~450mW.

But it violate our camera spec requirement.

The condition we have didn't match customer's design.

We need your help to check the power consumption based on following condition:

CSI-2: 2 Lane + 1 CLK
1Gbps / Per Lane
Total BW: <1Gbps

Based on above condition, may I know what would be the total power consumption of VDD_1P8_xxx rails?

Hi Evan,

Unfortunately we don't have device characterization data available for power consumption in this condition. Can you share the power consumption requirement in your customer's camera spec? Who is the customer?

So there's no tool that can help to evaluate the power consumption based on certain condition?

We expect the power consumption should be lower than 150mW based on our condition.

Hi Evan,

We don't have a tool to estimate power consumption. Values given in the datasheet can be considered as worst case power consumption. In this condition, I expect power consumption to be higher than 150mW.
