UCC2897A: spec check

Part Number: UCC2897A

Tool/software:

Hi

Attached is the schematic, the problem is as follows I would like to ask where I can adjust it.

1. Input 10v can only output 12v/150w (target 200W)

2. Input 9v can only output 12v/115w (target 200W)

3. Q12 is very hot and will burn itself out without cooling. Are there any parameters that need special attention?

  • Hi,

For bullet 1 and 2, please first check the duty cycle if already reached your designed max, if so, you need to adjust Dmax, or adjust transformer turns ratio to allow bigger duty cycle, or for the same Dmax, adjust the turns ratio to help.

For bullet 3, check Q12 conduction losses and switching losses, waveforms of its switching, to make correction, or use a better MOSFET.
