DS90UH949A-Q1: Ambient temperature

Part Number: DS90UH949A-Q1

Tool/software:

Dear team,

Please help me to understand about 2 queries below.

1. The datasheet 7.4.2.4 in page 32, mentions as below. Would you tell me how we can understand the "ambient temperature around the DS90UH949A-Q1 changes by more than 40°C"?
Does it mean① the Ta will be higher/lower than 40C absolutely, or ②the change from Ts(starting ambient temperature) is more than 40C (e.g. Ts=20C and Ta will be higher than 60C)? Or ③any other understanding?

Please tell me which is correct ①, ② or ③. and if ③ please tell me the detail.

2. According to the question1 or T_CLH1, T_CLH_2 specs, is there possibility that PLL lock is lost and the output from Ser -> Des stops, when in cold environment the car/engine starts and then it gets warming.

Best regards,
Yuto Kitamura

  • Hi Yuto,

Please tell me which is correct ①, ② or ③. and if ③ please tell me the detail.

The change from Ts (starting ambient temperature) is more than 40 C. Your second explanation is correct.

    2. According to the question1 or T_CLH1, T_CLH_2 specs, is there possibility that PLL lock is lost and the output from Ser -> Des stops, when in cold environment the car/engine starts and then it gets warming.

As long as the environment temperature is within the range specified for those specs, then PLL lock should be continuously high (assuming other configurations are all correct).

    BR,

    Esther
