TUSB1104: Fail to link the device at USB3.2 gen2 x2, register setting issue

Part Number: TUSB1104

Tool/software:

Hello support team,

My customer decides to use our redriver TUSB1104 at USB-C application.

And there is the issue that the device is only be able to be linked at USB3.2 gen2 x1, which means only one side of SSTX/RX is working.

I firstly eliminate the issue with layout mismatch issue, the redriver is put between at the middle of the USB-C connector and CPU (RPL-S platform).

Here's my register setting at USB-C port, may you help to clarify if this is the correct one?

Power on / Reset:

Set 0x24 and 0x25 register to 11h (Enable the bit 4 for USB3.2x2)

Set the 0xA register to 11h

Detach device:

Set the 0xA register to 11h

Upside-up orientation connection:

Set the 0xA register to 11h

Upside-down orientation connection:

Set the 0xA register to 15h (Flip bit is asserted)

I didn't change anything about the EQ part due to the default setting for adaptive EQ.

Did I miss anything at TUSB1104?

Thanks for the suggestion.

Best regards,
Dave
