DS90UB983-Q1: pre-emphasis and equalization questions

Tool/software:

When using the DS90UB983 to create an FPD-Link IV signal source, I encountered an issue where the display works normally with a 10-meter cable but fails to display with a 6.5-meter cable. Can this problem be resolved by adjusting the pre-emphasis of the DS90UB983 chip or the equalization function of the DS90UB984 (inside LCD panel)? Please let me know which registers need to be configured to achieve this. Thank you!
