I have a question about extending the length of the FPD-LINK3.
Can the length of FPD-LINK3 be extended this picture?
Can the repeater be configured remotely from the controller?
Can the controller configure I2C through the repeater to the SLAVE?

Yes it is possible to extend reach with multiple SerDes pairs as you have shown in the block diagram. All 4 SerDes devices and the camera can be programmed remotely by the controller, as I2C communication is sent over the bidirectional control channel of the FPD-link. You will need to be careful with I2C address and alias programming to ensure each device's register set is accessed correctly. Here is an example of how to program the I2C addresses and aliases. Specific addresses can be changed as needed.
