Hi,

We use two TLK2711AIRCP components (now obsolete) in the circuit. Recently, some cards have shown a current consumption 30mA higher than expected, when the TLK2711 components are placed in power-down mode. We checked with a thermal camera and saw that the temperature of one of the components was 1.5 degrees higher than similar cards. Functionally, the component worked properly.

After replacing the component, the current consumption decreased.

Does the high current consumption in power-down mode indicate a problem with the component?

Do you have a measurement for TLK2711 current consumption before/after replacing the component? I am assuming that 30mA includes two TLK2711 components and some additional support components.

Hi Drew,

Based on the information from the datasheets, where the consumption in shut down mode is supposed to be 3 mA, so before the replacement the component's consumption was 28 mA, and after the replacement 3 mA.

Hi Drew,

We measured the current consumption in shut down mode.

The (suspect) component before replacement showed a current of 60mA and the new component after replacement showed a current of 11mA.
