Hi All,


I have a question about SGMII Mode 4 strap.

The current settings are Rhi＝2.49kΩ, Rlo=Open.

The datasheet says that Rhi = 4kΩ, Rlo = 10kΩ is recommended.

Are there any problems that can be expected if I set Rhi＝2.49kΩ, Rlo=Open?

For example, the correct MODE may not be set, or a communication error may occur.

    Hi Ishiwata-san,

    For SGMII, we recommend different strap recommendation because when the device is operated in SGMII mode, the bootstrap threshold table does not apply to the SGMII pins.

    The resistor values for MODE 4 when in SGMII must be followed.
