DS90UB960-Q1: How should keep output image signal when Unplug one camera of four cameras

Part Number: DS90UB960-Q1

Tool/software:

Dear support team

my customer employ DS90UB960-Q1 to deserializer four cameras, In synchronous mode,if we unplug one of  the four cameras,do other three cameras image singal continue to been deserialized and transfered?

if can't, how should we configure paramerter of DS90UB960-Q1 and achieve these function?

thanks.

  • Hello,

    Synchronous mode requires all enabled cameras to be actively forwarding synchronized data. If one of the cameras are unplugged in synchronous mode, all output will cease.

    In order to continue to stream output with a camera unplugged, the deserializer should instead operate in round robin mode. Please see section 7.4.25 of the device data sheet for more information.

  • Hello, Darrah,

    thank for your  detailed explanation;

    in round robin mode, If one of the cameras are unplugged,the carera channel data will dont been transmit, whether can transmit 0 data or change to blank screen.

  • Hello,

    In round robin mode, data will be transmitted as it becomes available on the enabled RX ports. If a camera is unplugged, as long as the other cameras remain streaming, the deserializer will output the data of the connected cameras. The deserializer will only output the received data, and can not create filler data to replace the unplugged camera. The unplugged camera port will not receive or forward any data for output.
