TPD6F002-Q1: Protection Limits for Failure Analysis

Part Number: TPD6F002-Q1

Tool/software:

Dear Expert,

We are currently performing a failure effect analysis for our new design, and I would appreciate your guidance regarding the TPD6F002-Q1.

Specifically, we are evaluating the impact of a signal shorting to GND or VCC (5V). The signals in question are protected by the TPD6F002-Q1 device.

I have reviewed the datasheet but was unable to find clear answers to the following:

  1. What is the maximum allowable current or power dissipation on a single channel (e.g., across a 100-ohm resistor)?

  2. What is the maximum total power dissipation for the entire device or package?

Your assistance with this data would be greatly appreciated.
I look forward to your response.

Best regards,
Attila

  • Hi Attila,

The max power dissipation is roughly 830mW. I am not entirely sure the allowable current on a single channel, but I can look into it for you. I know for our ESD diodes, the max forward current is between 100mA-200mA depending on size for DC.

    Best,
