Tool/software:
Hi,
We are connecting the DS90UB948 and DS90UB927 via a harness to communicate with the FPDink3.
1. It is generally recommended to use the EQ value set by AEQ. How does AEQ determine the EQ value? I am guessing it could be one of the following:
- Incrementing from EQ=0 at each device startup and setting the minimum EQ value that is acceptable for all SPs.
- Incrementing from EQ=0 at each device startup and setting the minimum EQ value of about EQ+3 that is acceptable for all SPs.
2. Before executing the MAP, the EQ was set to 6, but after the MAP, it was set to 0. After restarting the power, it returned to EQ=6. The result of the MAP showed that EQ=0 to 14 were all acceptable. Is it the case that at device startup, the EQ is set to about the minimum EQ+3, and after the MAP is completed, it is set to the minimum EQ?
3. If communication becomes unstable while using the EQ value set by AEQ, what happens to the EQ value? I am guessing it could be one of the following:
- Bit errors occur at the point of instability, and the EQ value is immediately incremented by 1.
- A threshold is set before communication becomes unstable, and the EQ value is incremented by 1 when it falls below that threshold.
Best,
