Hello,

Let me confirm I can implement DS90LV804 LVDS buffer later cable or backPlane board.
According to datasheet example, you implement device in front of cable or backplane board.
So, could you confirm whether I can apply above usecase or not ?

    This is possible, but why do you want a buffer near the receiver? It would not make sense to add a plain buffer just to drive a very short trace/cable, but a buffer with receive equalization like the DS25BR110 could be used to improve signal quality.

    but why do you want a buffer near the receiver?

    -> we need to send lvds signal via 2 board. Pre-emphasis is implemented on driver side.

    So, I am consider to implement kind of "buffer" function on receiver side just in case.

    My target bandwidth is 400mbps, but do you think it is better to use ds25br110 ?

    There is no difference between the DS90LV804 and any other normal receiver.

    The DS25BR110 is optimized for higher frequencies. I do not know the exact analog characteristics of your system or how the SD25BR110 would affect the signals; you'd probably have to measure yourself.
