Is there any way to get around this when using the LMH1239?

• TI recommends toggling the ENABLE pin after changing the input data rate(found in programming guide)

We are switching between the 2 inputs and also using various data rates. Other designs use the LMH1219 which works automatically.

    Hi Jim,

    We recommend toggling the enable pin based on testing with our Phabrix generator. Occasionally when switching from 12G and HD the CDR would mislock.

    Depending on your generator's switching time, this will not be a problem. You can also adjust the CDR lock time, see 3.14 CDR Lock Timing Control in the programming guide. Adjusting it to the max would ensure that the generator has enough time to switch data and the CDR doesn't mislock.
