DS90UB954-Q1: Truncate frame function

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi team,

Can you explain the detail of truncate frame?

When the bit is set to 1 and 954 sees a parity error:

1. Does it throw the wrong data and send all 0 instead?

2. Does Vsync signal still exist?

Regards,

Peter

  • Hello Peter,

When this bit is set, the DES will not forward those frames from the FPD-Link RX to the CSi-2 TX. Nothing will be sent instead.

Yes, the Vsync signal still exists and is generated. However, the behavior of the Vsync depends on the CSI-2 receiver and how it handles early frame terminations
