TUSB2E11: EVM design inquiry

Part Number: TUSB2E11

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

For TUSB2E11 EVM design, customer get one question, they see there are termination resistors as marked in the circle but it's NC.

Could you help check if the termination resistor is necessary? Why we keep this in the design?

Regards,

Will

  • Hi Will,

These termination resistors are optional, yes. These are used, if needed, to ensure there is not an impedance mismatch when connecting to an oscilloscope to capture an eye diagram. As long as there are proper terminations on both sides of the connection the TUSB2E11 is used in, then you should not need to worry about populating these. This connection is just an option in case it is needed.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
