If two different devices are set by pin mode and SMBus mode with same configuration, is there a any difference in terms of performance?

    Hi Austin,

    There is no difference in signal conditioning performance between a device in pin mode and a device in I2C mode set to the same configuration. The last time I remember someone reporting an apparent difference on another redriver part, it turned out the I2C configuration was incorrect and actually different from what they had selected in pin mode.
