Customer need support two DP port (Rear / Front) and display same time with BMC AST2700 and need to meet our server’s layout requirement.

Hi J,

For next generation displaying ability, Customer should support two display ports (Rear/Front) and display two monitors simultaneously to meet HBR max resolution with BMC AST2700 design.

BMC AST2700 DisplayPort specification for your reference.

Hi Mark,

If 2.7Gbps is the case, SN75DP128A should be a good mux to support two DP ports. As to redrivers, I recommend SN75DP130 which can support upto 5.4Gbps and is a redriver. This part has been validated with input trace length at 10in.

Hi J,

Besides supporting two display ports, Customer also need to display at same the time for both channle.

For SN75DP128A is 1 : 2 switch, it seems not meet customer requirement. Is that right? if yes, do you have any other suggest solution for that?

You would need a DP MST hub to support this functionality and unfortunately we do not have a hub in our product portfolio.
