One of my cusotmer is using SN55LVDS31-SP in their project. They have few LVDS driver outputs are unused.
Query :- What if input & output of LVDS driver are kept open? Since input has fail safe, output will be in known state & hence no siwthcing is expected. Since user don't want to connect any termination, current will not flow on the output side & they believe that output can be kept open if input has fail safe circuitary.
If output kept open then is there any reliablity concern?
What is the best practice for unused outputs?
