TFP410-EP: Regarding the configuration method using TFP410MPAPREP.

The current project plans to use TFP410MPAPREP for the design, and there are a few questions that need to be confirmed.

1、Regarding the control methods mentioned in the figure below, what are the differences between the two configuration methods in the configuration registers? How is the first method controlled using the configuration and status pins?

Hi,

When using GPIO control (pins state). You will populate pull ups and pull down resistors on the control pins which will be sampled n startup. This is what will configure the device. Keep in mind that to re configure the device you will need to power cycle as control pin sampling only occurs on startup.

In I2C mode you are able to chnage the register values and configuration settings in real time. This is done through the SDA SCL pins only.

If I do not use I2C to configure the chip, I need to configure the relevant pins as follows: configuration pins (BSEL, DSEL, EDGE, VREF) and state pins (PD, DKEN).
What are the differences in display effects between the two configuration methods mentioned above? Are they completely the same, or do each have their own unique effects?

Is there a hardware reference design or DEMO for TFP410MPAPREP? I did not find any relevant information on the TI website.
